Education:
- MS, Ph.d(Biochemistry): Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi, India
Dr. Pramanik research bridges molecular biology, environmental biotechnology and plant sciences. He made a pioneering contribution to understanding mRNA-protein interactions (interactome), decoding the regulatory logic of gene expression, and exploring how post-transcriptional influence during cellular differentiation of myoblast and plant somatic embryogenesis. His RNA-interactome research on somatic embryogenesis appeared as a spotlight in a prestigious journal Trends in Plant Science, June 2017, Vol 22 #6, pp 449. A cDNA clone was isolated which has an inverted triplet (palindrome), a regulatory code rich in pyrimidine at their 5’ untranslated region (5’ccctctctctctctctctccc 3’) (NCBI# GenBank: L06967.1). A Biotech Giant MyBiosource marketed his cDNA clone, ubiquitin carrier protein (Cat # MBS1093121). In plant biotechnology, Dr. Pramanik has advanced the field of somatic embryogenesis and protein synthesis regulation.
His bioremediation research has led to innovative strategies for detoxifying pollutants through plant: microbial interactions and, also addresses emerging threats of microplastics and ecological impact. In addition to that, with collaboration Dr. Pramanik is working on Cancer Drug Development and disease prediction using AI-ML.
As a passionate educator, Dr. Pramanik teaches UG and PG courses and supervises MS, Ph.D., and postdoctoral scholars. He continues to inspire the next generation research through integrative and AI-approaches
