Our student journalists have opportunities to cover live sporting events, whether on or off campus.
Goals
- To increase the numbers of highly trained professional sports journalists
- To provide students with a knowledge of sports journalism history and traditions and its role in a democratic society obsessed with sports culture
- To provide students with an understanding of sports journalism ethics and basic media law
- To provide students with practical experience with sports field reporting and editing, production, social media and public relations
