Award for Excellence in Mathematics Named After Dr. N'Guerekata
In November 2023, the African Mathematical Union created the N'Guerekata Award for Excellence in Mathematics. This is a very competitive award for African Mathematicians on the continent as well in the diaspora. It's the first time ever that such an award was created in Africa. Eligibility includes a minimum of 10 high quality publications in international refereed journals.
Dr. Wilson stated the award, "is without doubt a seminal award for mathematics in higher education on the Continent of Africa. This is groundbreaking and we are so honored to have you as a member of our Morgan family." For more information, read here.
