Dr. Mansoureh Jeihani is a professor and the director of both the National Transportation Center at Morgan State University and the Urban Mobility & Equity Center- a USDOT Tier-1 University Transportation Center. She has a multidisciplinary background in Civil Engineering/Transportation Systems, Economics, and Computer Engineering. Dr. Jeihani has over 17 years of experience in applied research in transportation planning and modeling, traveler behavior, intelligent transportation systems, connected and autonomous vehicles, traffic safety, artificial intelligence, and equity. She has published a book and about 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals, conference proceedings, and technical reports. She has also been the PI/Co-PI for about 50 research grants funded by federal or state agencies totaling over $30M. Dr. Jeihani is the chair of Distracted Driving – Strategy 3 – Maryland Strategic Highway Safety Plan; the co-chair of the Maryland Connected & Automated Vehicles Technical Subgroup, a member of the Transportation Research Board (TRB)- Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Computing Applications committee, the Council of University Transportation Centers (CUTC), Maryland Quality Initiative (MDQI) Innovations Subcommittee, Maryland Connected & Automated Vehicles Working Group, National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Panel; and Behavioral Traffic Safety Cooperative Research Program (BTSCRP) Panel.
