Career Closet

The Career Closet is accepting financial donations, new suits, and items from our Amazon wishlist.  Please check our FAQ section for more information on how to contribute. We greatly appreciate your generosity!

Do you need a great outfit to wear for an interview or your first day at a new job?

The initial impression an applicant makes during an interview is crucial, as it sets the tone for the interviewer and conveys the candidate's dedication to the job or internship. Here at the Center for Career Development, we recognize the importance of not only imparting knowledge but also providing practical resources to our students.

To fulfill this mission, we partnered with the MSU On-Campus Alumni Chapter and Target to establish the Career Closet. The Career Closet, a heartfelt initiative by Morgan Alum Ms. Earlene Goodson (Class of 1982), is dedicated to offering professional business attire to current Morgan State students who may not have the means to afford such attire. This resource is invaluable for various professional occasions, including interviews, career fairs, conferences, and other events that necessitate a professional appearance.

The Career Closet is made possible through the generous contributions of Morgan State Alumni, community members, and local employers. We are committed to ensuring that every student, especially those who cannot afford a suit, has access to the attire they need to make a positive impression and excel in their career pursuits.

Career Closet is open by Appointment Only
