Yellow Ribbon Program

For consideration, click here to apply for the upcoming Fall/Spring term.

The Yellow Ribbon Program is a benefit that was implemented by the Post 9/11 Veterans Educations Assistance Act of 2008.

The Institution of Higher Learning can opt into an agreement with the VA to cover costs that exceed the 100% benefit amount (uncovered costs) by the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill.

The participating institution contributes an amount for the student expenses and the VA will match that amount, not to exceed 50% of the difference.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Honorable Discharge after at least 36 months of active duty after September 10, 2011.
  • Discharge from active duty for a service-connected disability of which he/she was served at least 90 consecutive days after September 10, 2011.
  • A dependent who is a recipient of transferred benefits from an eligible service member.
