The Center for Career Development transitioned to Handshake [in 2021], a modern career services platform college recruiting employers can use to post full-time, part-time jobs and internship opportunities.

As faculty and staff you can use Handshake to view jobs and internship opportunities that could be beneficial to students. You can also connect and network with area employers who are interested in recruiting MSU students.

Faculty and staff can log in as a student to view the job board, upcoming workshops, career fairs and employer information. Faculty and staff can use Handshake to discover jobs, internships, and events that may be beneficial to your students in their professional and career development. You can share these opportunities directly with students by copying the job's or event's URL and pasting it onto an email or newsletter.

  • Create a Student Account using your Morgan Email Address.
  • For best results, complete your profile mimicking the population you regularly serve (undergraduate, computer science, etc...)

Hiring Part-Time Students for Your Department

Handshake is an online portal to manage all of your campus recruiting activities (e.g., posting positions, organizing interviews, reviewing resumes, etc.). Some key features include:

  • Access to students-nearly 2,000 students log in weekly
  • Receive resumes directly through the platform
  • Bi-Monthly student emails-registered students receive a digest of positions
  • Machine learning algorithms-students receive new listings related to their areas of interest
