The initial impression an applicant makes during an interview is crucial, as it sets the tone for the interviewer and conveys the candidate's dedication to the job or internship. Here at the Center for Career Development, we recognize the importance of not only imparting knowledge but also providing practical resources to our students.

The Career Closet was established in partnership with the MSU On-Campus Alumni Chapter and Target, thanks to the heartfelt initiative of Morgan Alum Ms. Earlene Goodson (Class of 1982). This resource is specifically designed to offer professional business attire to current Morgan State students who have a demonstrated financial need and may not have the means to afford such attire on their own. Whether it’s for an interview, your first day at a new job, a career fair, or a professional conference, the Career Closet is here to ensure you can make a positive impression without the barrier of cost.

Please also remember that the Career Closet is intended solely for obtaining attire for professional events, not for social gatherings or non-professional activities.

For those seeking affordable options for professional attire, we encourage you to take advantage of the JCP Suit Up Events held periodically throughout the year. These events offer great deals on professional clothing.
