Application Process

Please note that Office of Residence Life & Housing does not provide or coordinate transportation, parking, food services, or reservation of meeting spaces for summer conference guests. Accommodations

The Office of Residence Life & Housing offers a variety of residence hall room types, building sizes and levels of bathroom privacy. 

Thurgood Marshall Hall will be used for summer 2024 as, some residence halls are reserved for enrolled MSU students, or are undergoing renovations, and will not be available.

All summer programs and conferences must be approved by the Center for Continuing and Professional Studies. For Summer 2024, Thurgood Marshall hall with house all programs and conferences.  Conference sponsors are encouraged to click here to explore Thurgood Marshall Hall through our self-guided virtual hall tour. 

Please note that gender designations in our halls will differ during the summer period. Therefore, our residential facility will be mixed gender. Hall and room assignments will be based upon the requests we receive. Please let us know if you have special requests so that we can make assignments appropriate to your program.

Rates

The rates below are for the 2024 conference season.  All rates are per guest per night.  

Groups who provide a Sales & Use Tax Certificate of Exemption will be exempt from sales tax. All others may be subject for to sales tax.

Insurance Requirements

All camps, conferences and events sponsored by individuals or organizations not funded by Morgan State University or the State of Maryland will be required to present a Certificate of Liability Insurance designating the following as CERTIFICATE HOLDERS:“The State of Maryland”, “The Board of Regents of the University System of Maryland”, and “Morgan State University.”

A minimum of $1,000,000 per individual and $3,000,000 per incident for Property Damage and Personal Injury is required. The Certificate of Liability Insurance must be received by The Office of Residence Life & Housing in order to finalize reservations and to meet with our staff to plan a camp or conference stay in the residence halls.
