Military Services

The mission of the Office of Veterans Engagement (OVE) is to support the achievement of the University's enrollment management and student success goals by providing leadership in identifying and sustaining new external partnerships, facilitating recruitment, registration and retention-related communication between internal partners and students and by providing a variety of support services to veterans of the armed forces at Morgan State University.

Military Tuition Assistance is an additional educational benefit paid to eligible members of the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

This funding was provided as a directive of Congress to allow each branch of service the ability to pay up to 100% for the tuition expenses to its members.

Each branch of service has its own criteria for eligibility, obligated service time, application process' and funding restrictions. The funding is usually paid directly to the institution by the individual services.

Additionally active duty members may elect to use the MGIB "top-up" in addition to their service provided TA to cover high cost courses. Detailed information regarding Tuition Assistance Top-up can be accessed by clicking here!

Tuition Assistance (TA) is not a loan; and should be considered as funds you have earned, similary to your base pay.
