Applying for Graduation

GRADUATION APPLICATION DEADLINE

The deadline date for applying for the Spring 2026 Graduation is February 27, 2026 at 5:00 pm.  It is listed on the Morgan academic calendar.

Degree candidates should apply for graduation online, as instructed by the emails sent from the Office of the Registrar.

GRADUATION APPLICATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THE DEADLINE

Degree candidates who are permitted to submit late applications for graduation do so with the understanding and agreement that they may not be certified for graduation in time to participate in the University Commencement Exercises and their names may not appear in the Commencement Exercises program booklet.

ELIGIBILITY

It is the policy of Morgan State University that only degree candidates who apply for graduation by the published deadline and have completed ALL academic and financial requirements for graduation will participate in the University’s Commencement Exercises. There are no exceptions to this policy!  

In addition, participation in the University’s Commencement Exercises, receipt of graduation invitations, the appearance of names in the printed program, or receipt of graduation information is not considered evidence of graduation under any circumstances.

RE-APPLYING FOR GRADUATION

Graduation candidates who are unsuccessful in meeting graduation requirements for a particular semester’s University Commencement exercise should email the Office of the Registrar at graduation@morgan.edu to request that their application be updated for the next consecutive application cycle before the published deadline.
