What is the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship?

The Edith Nourse Rogers STEM scholarship is an extension of Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits allowing eligible recipients up to 9 months or $30,000.00 of added benefits (whichever comes first). Eligible recipients must be pursuing educational training in the STEM field.

Am I eligible for the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship?

Eligible students must be current or previous recipients of Chapter 33 Post 9/11 GI Bill benefits. The student must be matriculating in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math major. The student must be enrolled in an undergraduate STEM degree program or have a STEM degree and is pursuing a teaching certificate.

Are there any additional requirements to be considered for the Edith Nourse Rogers STEM Scholarship?

Yes, the Undergraduate Requirements are:

  • The program must require at least 120 semester hours
  • Applicant must have completed at least 60 standard credit hours
  • Applicant(s) must have 6 months or LESS remaining entitlement under Post 9/11 GI Bill. Can have just 1 day of entitlement left.

The Teaching Certificate Requirements are:

  • The applicant has earned a STEM post-secondary degree
  • The applicant was accepted in or enrolled in a teaching certification program
  • Applicant(s) has or will soon exhaust your Post 9/11 GI Bill entitlement. Can have just one (1) day of entitlement remaining.
