The University Counseling Center provides workshop and presentations on a variety of topics to aid in the emotional and psychological development of students in the university environment. We are happy to present to your group provided that we are given sufficient time and have staff available. To best accommodate requests, they must be submitted at least 2 weeks in advance of the presentation date. If you would like to make a request for a presentation, please fill out the outreach request form and a staff member will respond to your request within one week. Faculty members requesting Don't Cancel Your Class should fill out the corresponding request form under resources for faculty and staff.
The counseling center provides one-time workshops each week during the fall and spring semesters. These workshops cover a variety of topics including social confidence, time management and study skills, grief and loss, and communication skills. These workshops are free and open to all currently enrolled students. You do not have to be a client to attend the workshops.
The counseling center also provides a number of outreach events during the semester, including a depression screening and an alcohol screening. Our website, Facebook, and Instagram are updated periodically with up-to-date information about our upcoming events.
