CEMSE Morgan State University Presents: 2018 STEM Expo!
The sixth annual Morgan State University STEM Expo will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 in the Calvin and Tina Tyler Ballroom located in the University Student Center on the campus of Morgan State University. The STEM Expo is hosted by the Center for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Education (CEMSE) and the Division of Research and Economic Development (DRED). The expo is from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Dr. Mildred Ofosu, Assistant Vice President for (DRED) and Dr. Kevin Peters, Director of (CEMSE) will serve as the Mistress and Master of Ceremony. They will introduce invited guests and administrators. The goal of the STEM Expo is to inform, engage and excite middle and high school students throughout the state of Maryland (Anne Arundel County, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Prince Georges County and Montgomery County) to the global STEM careers and jobs of today! The STEM Expo is a part of the state-wide STEM Festival held each year.
Students of all ages will have a blast with the interactive displays and hands-on activities that will include: quadcopters/drones, non-Newtonian fluids (slime), coding, app making, virtual goggles, Vex and Lego robotics, smart cars, weather balloon launching and much more! Also, students will speak with STEM professionals about scholarships, internships and careers.
