How to Apply

Application Requirements for Undergraduates

The application must be submitted using the Online Application Form. Questions regarding the application process should be directed to hafat1@morgan.edu. A complete application package will include:

  • A completed Application Form. 
  • A One-page statement addressing the participant's academic background, professional experiences, interest in  Internet of Things Security, Energy Storage Systems, Nanomaterials and Sensor Networks, Smart Grid Systems, and Materials Research, as well as career goals, and plans for graduate studies. The statement should be single-spaced with a blank line between paragraphs. Use 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font with 1-inch margin on all sides.
  • Unofficial copies of your Academic Transcript(s). 
  • One Letter of Recommendation from individuals who are able to comment on the applicant's academic ability including faculty advisors at the student's home institution or mentors from previous research activities. Letters should be sent by the individual to Hashmath Fathima at "hafat1@morgan.edu" (with student's names as file name, Example: Hashmath_Letter.pdf).
  • All the documents must be converted to pdf files and saved as the document name_last name.pdf (Example: Essay_Smith.pdf). The unofficial transcripts can be saved as pdf.

Application requirements for Teachers

The application must be submitted using the Online Application Form. Questions regarding the application process should be directed to hashmath.fathima@morgan.edu. A complete application package will include:

  • A completed Application Form. 
  • Your Resume
  • A Two-page Personal Statement addressing the participant's academic background, professional experiences and research interest. Essays should be single-spaced with a blank line between paragraphs. Use 12 point Times New Roman or Arial font with 1 inch margin on all sides.
  • All the documents must be converted to pdf files and saved as the document name_last name.pdf (Example: Essay_Smith.pdf).
