Dr. Hunter joined the MSU faculty in November 2009. He conducts research and teaches courses in the areas of environmental engineering, ecological engineering, coastal and urban green infrastructure, and watershed systems design. Dr. Hunter is a 2000 graduate of Morgan's Civil Engineering Program and received his M.S. (2002) and Ph.D. (2006) in Environmental Engineering
at Purdue University. As a postdoctoral researcher with Purdue's Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering, he worked on research funded by USEPA and USACE to develop decision support tools for watershed management, BMP/LID implementation, and TMDL analysis.
