The School of Engineering offers educational programs which ensure that students acquire the ability to master fundamental principles of engineering which may be applied effectively to benefit society. All efforts of the faculty and administration are directed at developing the students' potential and preparing them to assume leadership roles in their chosen profession.
The School of Engineering awards the Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Transportation Systems. All of the Engineering programs are accredited, either by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET or the Applied and Natural Science Commission of ABET.
ABET Criteria for Accreditation
ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates. ABET accredits programs, not institutions. It provides specialized accreditation for postsecondary programs within degree-granting institutions already recognized by national or regional institutional accreditation agencies or national education authorities worldwide.
