New Degree Program in Cloud Computing

The Department of Computer Science in the School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences at Morgan State University has received approval from the Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC) to offer a Bachelor of Science Degree in Cloud Computing.

The B.S. in Cloud Computing instructional program will be offered online as well as in a traditional classroom setting (face-to-face), providing innovative, inclusive, hands-on, workforce-oriented, and distinctive educational experiences to a broad cross-section of the population, including adult learners and other nontraditional students.

The Gartner Report ranks the Cloud Computing as one of the hottest technologies and one of the most in-demand jobs with a median salary of $124,300 in the U.S. Cloud Computing technologists are urgently needed not only at big cloud computing companies, but across a wide variety of sectors, including financial technology companies, healthcare organizations, and the government. The Morgan Cloud Computing program will prepare students and working adults to enter into this lucrative and dynamic job market.
