Research Interests: Nanoscience and nanotechnology.

Characterizing thin films and magnetic nano-particles using magneto optic effect, ferromagnetic resonance, magnetic force microscopy, magnetic measurements (VSM & TMM), and density functional theory. Current research includes tunneling magneto resistance (TMR) materials in a form of nanowires synthesized by filling vertically standing and substrate supported nanotubes and also by constructing nano-columns through glancing angle deposition. TMR materials with high enough MR ratio at room temperature can be used for several applications including sensors, logic gates, and MRAM for quantum computers. TMR in nanowires / nano-columns form is applicable for components in NEMS (nano-electromechanical systems).
