A total of 33 undergraduate students from 9 distinct majors (Biology, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Psychology, Physical Education, Nursing, Sociology, and Medical Technology) at Morgan State University participated in the conference, and 9 of these presented their research in areas that included neuroscience, social and behavioral sciences and public health, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular and computational biology, and cancer biology.
Over 30 Morgan State student researchers attended the Annual Responsible Conduct in Research Workshop. Guest speakers from University of Maryland Baltimore and Emory University presented valuable information to our students.
Senior, Biology major Shanai Brown publishes in Frontiers in Microbiology! Ms. Shanai Brown published her blue crab research in Frontiers in Microbiology, entitled: "Genome Sequence Analysis of CsRV1: A Pathogenic Reovirus that Infects the Blue Crab Callinectes sapidus Across Its Trans-Hemispheric Range." This is an achievement that Morgan State University takes pride in. Ms. Brown has shown an abundance of potential as an undergraduate research student.
