  • Applications of nanomaterials in cyanobacterial systems

My research focus is on the genetic manipulation of cyanobacteria for sustainable energy. Applications of plasmon-resonant nanomaterial for large-scale cultivation of photosynthetic microorganisms are explored. Agrobacterium-mediated transformation to enhance biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in biofuel crop plants is a second aspect of my research.
