Research Interests:

My laboratory is focused on the intersection of human health disparities, aging, and the environment. I'm interested in identifying novel biological and socioeconomic factors that influence health disparities in the community and their impact on healthy aging and age-related diseases. I study the role of non-coding RNAs, including microRNAs, and identifying non-coding RNA biomarkers that can prevent or contribute to the alleviation of health disparities. My laboratory also investigates the roles of bacteria and other environmental bio-factors, including pollution, on human health and aging in the community.
