Association of Information Technology Professionals

Who are we?

AITP is the professional association comprised of career minded individuals who seek to expand their potential -- employers, employees, managers, programmers, and many others. The organization seeks to provide avenues for all their members to be teachers as well as students and to make contacts with other members in the IS.field, all in an effort to become more marketable in rapidly changing, technological careers.

The student chapter of AITP was chartered in 1984 as the "IT Club" for Information Systems majors at Morgan State University.  The club meets on a bi-weekly basis. The club staffs a group of volunteers who tutor other students and offer short technical workshops on topics such as programming languages, database management, networking, etc. Students work in groups and participate in national competitions in various categories. During the past several years, AITP club members have received prizes in various categories at national competitions.

AITP Club welcomes new members from all majors!
