Welcome to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Morgan State University!

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) serves as the central hub for current and prospective postdoctoral scholars and research associates at Morgan State University, as well as current graduate students who are considering pursuing a postdoc. Our mission is to help postdocs to reach their research and career development goals, facilitate postdoc hiring, build a community of postdocs and research associates on campus, and help faculty and staff understand how to best support this unique population. We look forward to supporting your professional development during this important stage of your career!

The OPA is housed in the School of Graduate Studies, Morgan Business Center, Rm 401. Our operating hours are Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm.

Dr. Lucy March, Postdoctoral Affairs Coordinator serves as the main contact for this office. Dr. March can be reached by phone at 443-885-4259 during operating hours and by email at lucy.march@morgan.edu. Please allow up to 48 business hours for a response to email inquiries, depending on the complexity of the issue.

Meet Dr. Lucy March

Dr. Lucy March is the Postdoctoral Affairs Coordinator at Morgan State University. Dr. March comes to Morgan from the University of Pennsylvania, where she served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Center on Digital Culture and Society within the Annenberg School for Communication from 2024 to 2026. She earned her PhD in Media and Communication on a Presidential Fellowship from Temple University in 2024 and her MA in Mass Communications from the University of Florida. Outside of work, Dr. March is an avid runner and concertgoer, and enjoys spending her free time with her husband, Perry, and their beagle mix, Icarus.

The School of Graduate Studies launched the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) initiative in April 2026, and the office is currently operating in ‘start-up’ mode.
