Vincent B. Knox
Vincent B. Knox is a Senior Associate General Counsel in the Office of Counsel at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, and a member of APL's Principal Professional Staff. He is primarily responsible for providing legal advice and counsel in the area of Government Contracts, to APL's Sectors, Mission Areas and Business and Financial group. He is also a member of APL's Business Review Committee.
Prior to his current position Mr. Knox spent approximately twenty years in various positions in the Office of General Counsel, Department of the Navy, finishing his Navy career as Deputy Assistant General Counsel (Research, Development & Acquisition). Immediately after retiring from the Navy, he became Counsel to the Public Sector business unit of BMC Software, Inc.
Mr. Knox is a member of the State Bar of Pennsylvania. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from St. Joseph's College, where he was the St Martin de Porres Scholar, and a Juris Doctor degree from Villanova University School of Law. He has also completed the Executive Program for Senior Officials in National Security at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and the Program for Defense Acquisition Executives at the University of Virginia's Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.
