The Research Ambassadors Program provides experienced undergraduate researchers with opportunities to serve as peer leaders and advocates for undergraduate research at Morgan State University. Research Ambassadors share their experiences, connect students with resources, and help foster a welcoming and inclusive campus research community.

What do Research Ambassadors do?

Research Ambassadors may:

  • Introduce students to undergraduate research opportunities and resources
  • Mentor students who are beginning their research journeys
  • Represent the Office of Undergraduate Research at campus events
  • Participate in student panels, workshops, and presentations
  • Promote research engagement across academic disciplines
  • Strengthen their own leadership and professional communication skills

Who should apply?

The program is designed for undergraduate students who have prior research experience and are interested in leadership, peer mentorship, and campus engagement. Applicants should be enthusiastic about sharing what they have learned and helping other students become involved in research.

Where does the program fit?

Research Ambassadors represents the leadership stage of the Office of Undergraduate Research’s student-development pathway:

Research Rookies → Research Apprentices → Research Ambassadors

Students progress from preparing to pursue research, to developing research competencies, to using their experience to support and inspire others.
