College Discovery/Next Generation Program

The Morgan State University College Discovery/Next Generation Program offers academic assistance, life skills, college, and career readiness preparation to Baltimore City youth grades 7th-12th. This is a grant-funded fixed cohorts' program. It is geared toward promoting the success and achievement of youth scholars in their future endeavors. Its focus is addressing the needs of Baltimore city youth to enhance their preparation for higher education. Our belief is that by improving the educational performance of adolescents through academic assistance, and social and enrichment activities such as financial aid literacy, participants can develop a healthier perspective of academics and an enhanced career motivation in paths of their choice. Program evaluations continue to indicate positive impacts on the well-being of participants.
