Program Requirements
The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is a 33-credit preservice teacher preparation program that can be completed in 2–3 years. Students complete a combination of coursework and a 12-credit internship. Concentrations are available in Art, Biology, Chemistry, English, History, Mathematics, Music, Physical Education, and Physics. The program is nationally accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and aligns with Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) licensure standard
