Program Requirements
The Master of Science in Landscape Architecture (MSLA) is a 36-credit, post-professional research degree designed for individuals holding a first-professional degree from a LAAB-accredited landscape architecture program or its equivalent. The curriculum includes core courses in theory and research methods, 15 credits of directed electives tailored to individual research interests, a 3-credit thesis preparation course, and a 9-credit faculty-mentored thesis. Students must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA and complete all program requirements within five years. Full-time students are expected to complete the program in a minimum of three semesters, with part-time options available. A final public presentation and oral defense of the thesis is required for degree conferral.
