Program Requirements
The program consists of 30 credit hours, completed in as little as 2–3 semesters depending on course load. Students complete 18 credits in journalism, 6 credits in a related content area, and a 6-credit master’s project that serves as a professional capstone. Coursework is in-person and focused on both theory and practical training in global communication

Whether you are an in-state, out-of-state, or international student, you may be eligible for Graduate Funding. We also offer two types of Graduate Assistantships: Teaching Assistantships (TAs) and Research Assistantships (RAs). Both provide special learning opportunities in exchange for a stipend/salary and Tuition Award. In addition, by simply filing your FAFSA each year, you will be able to participate in Federal Plus Loans and Federal Direct Loan Programs.
