On April 23, 2021, President David Wilson announced that all members of the MSU community, including students and employees, returning to campus for the fall semester, are required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Students and employees must receive their 2nd dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or their single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine no less than 2 weeks prior to the August 1 deadline or no less than 2 weeks prior to their return to campus date.  View the vaccine announcement.

To meet the vaccination requirement, all students and employees will be required to confirm their vaccination status. A copy of the COVID vaccination documents provided at the time the vaccine is received must be submitted to Morgan as verification. View additional details on the process for submitting your vaccination documents.

The University will review requests for medical and religious exemptions to the vaccination mandate, as provided for under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Americans with Disabilities Act. View additional details on requesting such an exemption.

The COVID-19 vaccine is now readily available in the United States. To find vaccine locations near you, visit, text your ZIP code to 43882, or call 1-800-232-0233.
