The Carl J. Murphy Fine Arts Center is Baltimore's most replete state-of-the-art facility for performing arts and visual Arts. Boasting three beautiful performance stages, the Murphy Fine Arts Center is capable of being the venue of choice for the widest range of performing and fine arts presentations. The Center continues to fulfill its mission of being a Center of Excellence and The Center of Attention! From the beautiful proscenium stage of the 2000+ seat Gilliam Concert Hall to the versatility of a studio theatre setting of the Turpin-Lamb Theatre, to the warmth and richness of Recital Hall, to beauty and legacy exhibited in the James E. Lewis Museum of Art, our facility has drawn praise and acclaim for its aesthetics, acoustics, comfort, and its versatility.
The MFAC has a variety of spaces available for licensing. Our performance spaces have amenities to house world-class musical, theatrical, and dance performances. These versatile venues and lobbies also make ideal settings for a broad range of events such as business meetings, fundraisers, and receptions, fashion shows, literary programs and poetry readings, recitals, step shows, and movie screenings.
