Dr. Li has forty-five years of research and teaching experiences, which include 24-year as a faculty member at Morgan State University, and 7-year as a research hydrogeologist in the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology and 15-years as a geoscientist in Chinese Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Li is currently a Professor and Chair of the Department of Civil Engineering. Dr. Li is an occupant of S.P. Massie Chair of Excellence honored by US-DOE. He is a fellow member of EWRI and ASCE, a registered PE in MD, and certified as both P.HG and DWRE nationwide. Dr. Li is internationally recognized as an authority in Aquifer Mechanics and its application to land subsidence due to ground fluids withdrawal.
