Trending Now 2016
Trending Now: Community Health Challenges and Solutions intends to strengthen partnerships with communities and to generate new ideas for improving the health of Baltimore neighborhoods. We invite public health professionals, researchers, students, and citizens concerned about the health of our neighborhoods to participate in this conference.
- Marc Steiner (Host of "The Marc Steiner Show" on WEAA; Founder, President, and CEO of the Center for Emerging Media) will be moderating the afternoon session on "Baltimore's Major Health Challenges."
- Laura Wexler will host Stoop Stories: Stories About Making Baltimore Healthier
This year's conference is co-sponsored by two Morgan State University programs: CEASE (Communities Engaged and Advocating for a Smoke-free Environment) and ASCEND (A Student-Centered ENtreprenurial Development Training Model to Increase the Diversity of the Biomedical Research Workforce).
For CEASE, this is its third annual conference! This year, CEASE and ASCEND are partnering in order to broaden our reach beyond the issue of tobacco use to include all community health priorities. This collaboration provides an opportunity for presenters and attendees to highlight community-based health research efforts and effect social justice policies and practices.
The conference is free! Register now to reserve your space.
