Research Assistance

Providing help with research is a key service of the library. The librarians in the Earl S. Richardson Library are here to help you at every step of the way, from developing a topic, to initial bibliographies, to in-depth research. Located behind the main circulation desk at the entrance to the library, the reference office is staffed Monday-Friday 10-4, and additional appointments are available on request.

Many professors also send their classes to the library for an Information Literacy session, and we are happy to also provide one-on-one sessions.

Drop-in workshops are available during the semester on Tuesdays at noon in room 117 of the library, and online at 4 pm on Thursdays. Online sessions can be found at msu.adobeconnect.com/libraryinstruction - join as a guest using your name.  Download the workshops flyer.
