Procedures for Part-Time Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Fall 2002/Spring -Summer 2003
Health insurance is available to part-time undergraduate and graduate
students for a fee. Coverage will become effective on the date that the
premium is received and expires on January 27, 2003 for the FALL SEMESTER.
The Health insurance must be reviewed each semester, and it is the responsibility
of the student to ensure that renewal payments are made on time. The premium
is not pro-rated. Also, vision and dental coverage are not provided
by this insurance. To obtain student health insurance the following
procedures must be followed:
- The student should report to the Office of Student Affairs (Truth
Hall Room 205) to receive the Student Health Insurance brochure. The
brochure contains important information on coverage.
- The student will be given a form to take to the Bursar's Office,
where he/she will pay the premium.
- The student should bring the receipt of payment back to the Office
of Student Affairs, where a copy of the receipt will be made and will
be forwarded to the student health insurance company so that they can
be added to the policy. IF THE STUDENT DOES NOT BRING THE RECEIPT
BACK TO THE OFFICE OF STUDENT AFFAIRS, THEY WILL NOT BE ADDED TO THE
POLICY.
- Any outside referrals to hospitals, clinics, etc. must be first approved
by the Morgan State University Health Center.
