ATHLETICS AND RECREATION
Morgan State University's Athletic program is looking forward to a
bright future. With recent renovations to both our outdoor and indoor
facilities, Morgan now has the facilities to rival those of any other
institution. Morgan offers an extensive Division I intercollegiate athletics
program for students enrolled at the University. The sports offered
include football, men's and women's basketball, cross-country, tennis,
track and field, women's volleyball, softball and bowling.
The Morgan State University Athletics Department is committed to the
principle and practice of gender equity. This commitment is reflected
in every facet of departmental operations. The University is a member
of the Eastern College Athletic Conference, the Mid-Eastern Athletic
Conference and the National Collegiate Athletic Associations.
All students are encouraged to make use of the available facilities
such as the swimming pool, gym, tennis courts and weight rooms. Athletes
are subject to the same academic standards which apply to other students
and must maintain satisfactory academic progress in order to continue
participating in the program.
