Pia Jordan is a full-time lecturer in Morgan State University's Department of Communication Studies. She joined the faculty in August of 2008. She has taught electronic news writing, reporting, media studies, senior seminar/capstone, broadcast production practicum and internship.
She is also the advisor to the Morgan State University Association of Black Journalists. She has worked in journalism in institutional and commercial television and radio for more than thirty years. During her career, she has been a mentor to more than 50 high school and college journalists She has written, anchored and hosted more than one-thousand radio/television newscasts and public affairs programs.
In addition to teaching, she is the project director of the Tuskegee Army Nurses project, a multi-media documentary on the nurses stationed with the Tuskegee Airmen in Alabama during World War II. She also seeks an agent to represent her award-winning screenplay.
