Middle School Summer Transportation Initiative

Morgan State University's National Transportation Center is offering a free summer program for middle-school students to introduce them to opportunities through careers in transportation.

Dates for the 2018-2019 program have not yet been announced; please check back in the spring for more information and an application.


The four-week week program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  and includes field trips, classroom projects and recreational activities on campus.


Participants must:


• be entering 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
• complete a 300 to 500 word essay, typed and doublespaced, describing their interest in transportation
• have a 70 percent GPA
• include one letter of recommendation from a math or science teacher
