2015 Transportation & Infrastructure Summit

The National Transportation Center helped plan and produce the Transportation Diversity Council - MSU Transportation & Infrastructure Summit on Safety & Security.Dr. Andrew Farkas presented research on consumer acceptance of connected vehicles.

The summit took place at the MSU School of Engineering on Dec. 2, 2015. Some 80 attendees represented government, private secotr, labor and educational institutions. Students, who had received a free registration, attended throughout the day.

The summit addressed the dynamics of infrastructure safety and security: scoping essential technologies and innovative applications for road safety applications and the framesowrks to ensure physical and cyber security for the nationals transportation infrastructure. The sumit also examined systems and public polcity requirements for the deployment of automated vehicle systems. NTC Director Dr. Andrew Farkas made a presentation on connected vehicle consumer acceptance and public policy.
