Middle School Summer Transportation Initiative

The first year of our Middle School Summer Transportation Initiative was a success! The dates for the 2018-2019 program have not yet been announced; please check back for information and an application in the spring.

The free program introduces students to the opportunities in transportation. The four-week program runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes field trips, classroom projects and recreational activities on campus.

Interested students need to have:

  • completed 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
  • a 300 to 500 word essay, typed and double-spaced, describing their interest in transportation
  • 70 percent GPA
  • one letter of recommendation from a math or science teacher.
