Biography:

Dr. Mansoureh Jeihani is an associate professor in the Department of Transportation and Urban Infrastructure Studies at Morgan State University. Proficient in transportation modeling and planning, and traffic safety, Dr. Jeihani has two years of experience in private and governmental transportation agencies and seven years of experience in applied research in an academic environment. She has a multidisciplinary background, a Ph.D. degree in Civil (Transportation Systems) Engineering, a master's degree in Economics, a master's in Socio-economic Systems Engineering, and a bachelor's in Computer Engineering. Since joining Morgan State University, Dr. Jeihani has been the P.I. for five SHA research projects: with the Office of Traffic and Safety (OOTS), Office of CHART and ITS Development, and Travel Demand Forecasting (TDF) division. She has successfully managed 11 research projects funded by the SHA, Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), National Transportation Center (NTC) at Morgan State, and the Mid-Atlantic University Transportation Center (MAUTC), totaling over $1.2 million in research expenditures. She has authored/co-authored a total of 13 refereed publications and has made more than 30 conference presentations. Dr. Jeihani serves on the transportation network modeling committee for the Transportation Research Board (TRB). She is a member of Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) and TRB.
