After retiring from Baltimore City Public Schools, where she servedas a teacher, school and central office administrator for 34 years, Ms. Alexander rejoined the Department of Teacher Education and Professional Development. Prior to retiring from BCPS, Ms. Alexander served as the reading specialist who was in charge of all reading program for BCPS. She uses to expertise to serve as a Reading Specialist for TEPD. Ms. Alexander earned both her Bachelors of Arts (in Elementary Education) as well as her Master of Science Degree (in Elementary Education) from Morgan State. Additionally, however, Ms. Alexander earned her Masters of Science in Reading from Johns Hopkins University. Ms. Alexander currently serves as the advisor for the Kappa Omicro Tau division of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, an international honors society for education majors. Further, she sits on 2 State Boards, which require an invitation from the governor: the Board for Physical Therapists and the Cirizen Review Board for Children.
