Preparing Diverse Populations for Graduate Admissions

This year, the event will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2017, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in the Tate Student Center (Room 480). During the event, students will have an opportunity to learn about the graduate school application process, strategies on how to score competitively on the GRE and techniques to develop a compelling personal statement and resume. Participants will also have an opportunity to speak with current graduate students about their experience at UGA. This event is open exclusively to junior and senior year undergraduate students in the following programs:
The Gates Millennium Scholars Program
UGA Feeder Institutions**
Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program
The Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation (LSAMP) Program
Research Initiative for Scientific Enhancement (RISE) Program
Initiative for Maximizing Student Development (IMSD)
Maximizing Access to Research Careers (MARC)
Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Related Sciences (MANRRS)
Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP)
Summer Research Opportunities Program (SROP)
**UGA Graduate Feeder Program: For students who will graduate from- Albany State University, Florida A&M University, Fort Valley State University, or Spelman College.

Biomed Virtual Grad School Fair! Prospective Biomedical Sciences Graduate Students--Decide where you want to go to school! This is fantastic opportunity to connect with Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine's Graduate Biomedical Sciences Program offering:

MS-Clinical and Translational Science, and Undergraduate Summer Research Internship for Minority Students (SRIMS).
