Research Interests:

Interdisciplinary sciences, environmental chemistry, environmental biology, and bioinformatics. Main research interests focus on the application of analytical and investigative protocols for environmental remediation, environmental sustainability, green environment, and environmental justice such as in the decontamination of emerging environmental contaminants. Combining interdisciplinary expertise and approaches of biology, biochemistry, chemistry, criminal justice, and environmental science, with socio-political and policy formulation techniques for clean and safe environment.

Current Research:

  • Removal of emerging environmental contaminants (EECs) from wastewater using advance oxidation processes (AOPs).
  • Application of predictive analytics for creating treatment index models (TIM) for water and wastewater decontamination.
  • Developing novel scientific methods, approaches, and cross-science/cross-discipline matrices to mitigate emerging and contemporary environmental challenges.

Courses Taught:

  • BIOL 101: Introductory Biology for Non-Majors I (Face-to-Face and Hybrid Classes)
  • BIOL 102: Introductory Biology for Non-Majors II
