The Department of Chemistry at Morgan State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Biochemistry. Morgan State is Maryland's Urban University which is located in a residential area of northeast Baltimore and has an enrollment of over 6,500 undergraduate and graduate students. The Department has a master’s program and an interdisciplinary PhD. in BioEnvironmental Sciences program. The Department's research focus is the development biotechnologies and sensors via microwave science and technology. Individuals with expertise and interests in this area are strongly encouraged to apply. A successful candidate will be expected to develop externally funded research programs, contribute to undergraduate chemistry teaching, and develop advanced and graduate level courses in their specialty area. The applicant must have a PhD. in biochemistry or allied bioengineering degree, and a research plan which includes research activities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
