Studio Uses Video Conferencing for Crits

This Fall term, Senior (ARCH 401) Design Studio of Leon Bridges, FAIA, NOMAC, has just completed the first SA+P video conferencing design studio session. The video conferencing was first suggested to Mr. Bridges by the offices of the Kling-Stubbins partnership, Cambridge, MA and Philadelphia, PA and included principal partners Richard Farley, FAIA, LEED, Joseph Castner, AIA, RIBA, LEED and several associate members of their offices.

There were three video conference sessions during the semester for the students to present their site analysis, concept designs, precedent studies and schematic designs for the project "A Community Library and Community Clinic for the Waverly Farmer's Market Site". The final presentation was presented to a jury on 29 November. The jury included Messrs. Farley & Castner, and Francesca Oliveira, AIA of Drexel University School of Architecture, SA+P's Dr. Richard Lloyd and Mrs. Anne Marie Lalmansingh, the director of the Waverly Branch Enoch Pratt Library.
