Planning Students become APA Scholars
Dr. Rodney Harrell, Vice Chairperson of Policy of American Planning Association (APA), recently announced that City and Regional Planning students, Nokomis Johns and Cherise Orange, were initiated to be Planning and the Black Community Division Catlin/Long Scholars for their "talent, hard work and insight into the issues facing the Black community."
This is one of the several students' achievement in Morgan's Planning Program: Two months ago, our planning graduate, Adam Howell won the Council of Historically Black Graduate Schools/UMI distinguished Thesis Award; Christopher Merriam is a 2012 Open Society Institute grant recipient for the Bikemore project; Andrew Giraldi and Dionne Hines won the Eisenhower Fellowship; Cheryl Montgomery won the National Forum for Black Public Administrators scholarship; and Judith Howerton won the Fullbright. Congratulations to all our planning students!!!
