application

We are delighted that you have expressed an interest in residing on campus in one of our outstanding residence halls. Did you know living on campus has a positive impact on a student's overall development and success in college? It also provides students with more opportunities to discuss work and receive advice from professors and gives easier access to the Academic Enrichment Program, which provides tutorial services and other academic support. Come and be a part of the experience! Below is a brief discription of how the housing application process works:

STEP 1

All students must apply and have been admitted to Morgan State University before applying for on- campus housing. Once admitted to the university, a package is sent to the student from the Office of Admission and Recruitment. Enclosed in the package is a housing application. Or, you may print out the application that pertains to you listed below.  Fill out the application, read all information and submit your completed application with the application fee to The Office of Residence Life and Housing.

STEP 2

Review the housing application carefully, and complete and return it with the required fee of $200 to the Office of Residence Life, Morgan State University 1700 E. Coldspring Lane, Tubman Rm 114, Baltimore, Maryland 21251.

STEP 3

Upon receipt of student's housing application and the $200 non-refundable fee to the Office of Residence Life, the student will receive an e-mail reply as a confirmation that the application and fee has been received.

STEP 4

Housing is assigned on a first come-first serve basis. Students will not be permitted to move in the Residence Halls prior to completion of satisfactory financial arrangements with the Bursar's Office that covers the tuition, fees, room and board for that semester.

STEP 5

Please be advised that acceptance of your application and the required fee is not a guarantee of a space in the residence halls. Housing is assigned on the availability of space and the student's ablility to provide satisfactory financial arrangements to cover the total cost of tuition, fees, room, and board for the semester in which he/she is applying.

STEP 6

A space will NOT be confirmed until the student has made satisfactory financial arrangments, by the University deadline date established by the Office of the Bursar regarding payment for the total cost of tuition, fees, room, and board for the semester.

Students without an assignment should act with extreme caution when proceeding to school. Only individuals who have taken care of all financial obligations will be allowed to check into the residence halls. Please make sure that you contact The Office of Residence Life if you are unclear about the status of your room assignment before you proceed to come to the campus.
