ATS Workshop Descriptions

Training courses from ATS are provided as in-person sessions, webinars, or as online learning modules. Review the workshop calendar to register for upcoming sessions. ATS courses are offered in the following formats:

  • Drop-in Sessions (D): 30 minute individualized instruction in the ATS office.
  • Group Sessions (G): in- person, small group instruction
  • Webinar (W): Online training or workshop that you can attend from anywhere.
  • Self Guided (S): Follow link to access the online series’. MSU login and password may be required.

Blackboard Collaborate Ultra (Web Conferencing): Collaborate essentials for faculty and staff.  Learn the Best Practices of working with this simple tool, plus walk through the Blackboard web conferencing tool to configure audio and video, setup session and participant permissions, and use built-in polls, whiteboard and content sharing.

Gartner Research Portal: Students, Faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend the introduction to Gartner session. Learn how to access the portal and make the most of vetted information, fact-based data, and unbiased advice that’s available 24/7.

Gmail,  Calendar & Drive Apps: Introduction to the GMAIL and Google calendars, time saving tips and tricks, and ways to make the most of this software. Training also includes use of Hangouts, and Drive as an interchangeable or replacement for Microsoft Office Suite.

NBC Learn: NBC Learn webinar series gets Morgan Faculty ready to use these powerful educational and research tools in the classroom and in Blackboard. NBC Learn is a collection of more than 19,000 videos, documents, and images that can be incorporated into classroom lectures and online teaching materials.

Protecting Yourself Online: Whether you’re on campus, at home, or on the go, we want to help keep you safe online. We’re offering a new class called “Protecting Yourself and Your Data Online.” This one hour class is for all faculty, staff, and administrators who want to learn more about protecting your data, both at home and at work. We’ll discuss preventing identity theft, protecting your personal computer as well as campus computers, tax fraud prevention, and more topics aimed at keeping you safe online. Login Required.
